No Matter Who You Vote For,
the Government Always Gets Elected

By Christopher di Armani

I don't know who first said it but the statement "no matter who you vote for, the government always gets elected" is unarguably true.

What it does NOT mean, however, is that voting does not matter.

We have two huge problems in our country, in terms of "government".

The first is the current elected government that is corrupt beyond anything in Canadian political history.

The second is the complete unaccountability of our government's bureaucrats.

The solution to the first problem is simple. Vote for ANYONE other than Paul Martin and his hand-picked "team" in this federal election.

For anyone who says, "But I don't trust those other guys", I've got a few words:

How can the alternative, any alternative, POSSIBLY be worse than the corruption we have seen out of 10 years of Liberal government? This is one case where "the devil you know" cannot possibly be better than the one you don't.

So vote for ANYONE other than the Liberals in this election. And do so for two important reasons.

One. The Liberals have imposed (and the Supreme Court upheld) the election gag law that says you and I are not possibly smart enough to make decisions for ourselves, therefore no 3rd parties are allowed to spend more than a few thousand dollars on election advertising during an election campaign.

Two. Part of that law changes the way political parties are funded. By garnering a mere 2% of the popular vote, a political party is eligible for federal funding of approximately $1.75 per vote.

That the taxpayers of this country should be forced to fund political parties they are opposed to is beyond disgusting.

That we "poor dumb voters" are viewed with such scorn and ridicule is beyond offensive.

That the Supreme Court upholds such crap, despite the admission in their judgment that such a law is CLEARLY against our constitutionally guaranteed freedoms… well, I'll let you come up with words for them on your own.

So, on Election Day, vote for ANYONE but the Liberals. Hell, you're paying anyway, so you might as well ensure SOME of YOUR tax money goes to the political party YOU support!

The solution to the second is more difficult, but not impossible.

It means a complete change to the way laws are drafted in this country.

It means WE THE PEOPLE must educate our elected representatives that how laws have been written under 10 years of Liberal rule IS NOT TO BE TOLERATED.

Reading the actual text of an Act of Parliament is no fun. However, if you take the time to read what gets passed in Parliament, you will see striking similarities throughout every Act passed in the last 10 or so years.

The "Act" is merely a framework outlining generalities. There are NO specifics contained in any of them. They refer to "Regulations" which are not contained in the Act. This is what gets passed in Parliament.

Once passed in Parliament, the unelected, unaccountable, appointed bureaucrats then write these "Regulations".

The "Minister Responsible" is not actually responsible for anything. An unelected, unaccountable, appointed bureaucrat is in charge. He is not answerable to those paying his salary, namely you and me.

Everything is left to "the discretion" of the "enforcement officer", who is not accountable to ANYONE. Ask Allen Carlos. Or Brian Ward. Or David Lind. Or Ken Hurrell. Or Brenda Pogson. Or…

So what do we do?

The first thing we do is get rid of Paul Martin and his band of corrupt thugs in Ottawa.

Then and only then will we be able to change the way our laws are written, so We the People can hold our unelected, appointed bureaucrats accountable.

It's an idea whose time is LONG overdue.
